PERSONAL STORY

​

Belinda, owner/operator of Pebbles Preschools, emigrated from Bath, England with her husband Steve and their children, Sam and Daisy in 2000. Belinda is a special  needs and primary school teacher with more than 25 years teaching experience. When her children attended an amazing early childhood centre in Bristol called The Red House, Belinda soon realised that her passion was with early childhood education and her dream was to open an exceptional early childhood centre which would excel in teaching and learning.

 

After 10 years teaching in Christchurch, Belinda completed a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education at Canterbury University and opened Pebbles Sumner in 2010, followed by Pebbles Montessori Cashmere in 2015.

Pebbles are privately owned and loved by Belinda and Steve. Belinda is hands-on at the centres and has maintained her Teacher Registration with the Education Council by enjoying her teaching time in the classrooms. If she is not physically on site, she is always available to talk to and enjoys building on positive relationships with the children, whānau and the teaching team.
