Tuis trip to Halswell Quarry 20th September 2018

What beautiful weather we received today for our trip. The sun was shining and so were the smiles on the tamariki faces as we set off on one of our many bus rides. Despite it being a lengthy journey, it was thoroughly enjoyed by all. We hid some of our painted rocks along the way in the bus exchange and at the different bus stops we frequented. We smacked on our lunch and watched the busy city antics as we wound our way through the busy streets of Chch.

On arrival at the quarry, the children had lunch, played, ran around, hid more rocks, played roly poly on the grass, flower picking, drew pastel pictures of the cherry blossoms and sang some songs. The children were wee troopers and we arrived back at Pebbles after many hours, tired but smiling from ear to ear.

We hope they all have sweet dreams tonight of today’s adventures. Thank you to everyone for packing smaller bag packs for your children to take with them and a special thank you to Chani, Ruth and Toni for supporting our trip. As always these amazing experiences rely on your help and support of which we are super grateful.
