Sumner Preschool

Pebbles Montessori Sumner (3-6) opened in April 2010 and operates from a beautifully renovated villa at 4 Campbell St, Sumner. We are licensed for 30 children aged 3-6 and are open every day from 8.00am – 5.30pm, to include school holidays.

We embrace the Montessori philosophy as well as our early childhood curriculum Te Whāriki. Our teachers are early childhood trained or in training and are Montessori experienced. Our daily programme is a mixture of child led and teacher led, with at least one Montesssori work cycle every day. The inside and outside environments are prepared to ensure we offer every child a unique, Montessori experience which inspires a love of learning and upholds our vision: For tamariki to see themselves as competent and confident learners in an environment of peace, respect and collaboration.
